The International Meeting of the Portuguese Society of Genetics (IMPSG) represents an opportunity to promote research in Genetics of different model organisms as well as in human genomics in health and disease. For this years’ meeting we are considering the all-encompassing topics of Human Genetics and Biomedicine, Microbial Genetics, Plant Genetics, Biotechnology and Animal Genetics and Evolution. We also welcome contributions concerning non-model organisms and wildlife, as well as Environmental Genetics, including DNA-based approaches for organisms' detection and monitoring, such as (e)DNA (meta)barcoding, metagenomics and related approaches.
This meeting is designed to provide a forum for genetics research in Portugal and abroad with special emphasis in promoting the participation of PhD students, postdocs and young researchers and to cover not only different scientific fields but also participants from institutes and universities across the country with important international participation and invited speakers.
The meeting will last two days and include talks from keynote invited speakers as well as short talks from students and researchers selected from the abstracts submitted. Posters will also be accepted and presented in dedicated poster sessions along the 2 days. The IV IMPSG will be exclusively in person.
